Getting Started
Therapy can benefit anyone who wants to improve their mental health, work through challenges, or better understand themselves. If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, anxious, or simply curious about self-growth, therapy might be a good fit. I offer a free 15-minute consultation to help you determine if my approach aligns with your needs.
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. I’ll ask about your background, what brings you to therapy, and your goals. You can also ask me any questions about my approach or the therapy process. This session helps us determine if we’re a good fit and allows us to start building a foundation for our work together.
The length of therapy varies greatly depending on your individual needs and goals. Some clients find relief in just a few sessions, while others benefit from longer-term support. I believe in collaborative goal-setting, and we’ll regularly discuss your progress and adjust our approach as needed.
It’s completely normal to feel nervous about starting therapy. Many clients feel this way initially. I work hard to create a warm, non-judgmental space where you can feel comfortable being yourself. Remember, there’s no pressure to share anything you’re not ready to discuss, and we’ll move at your pace.
Sessions & Scheduling
Most clients start with weekly sessions to build momentum and establish a strong therapeutic relationship. As you progress, we may adjust to bi-weekly or monthly sessions. The frequency depends on your goals, availability, and the nature of what we’re working on together.

Yes! I offer secure, HIPAA-compliant video sessions for clients who prefer the convenience of online therapy or who cannot attend in-person. Telehealth sessions are the same length and price as in-person sessions, and many clients find them just as effective.
I offer sessions Monday through Thursday from 9 AM to 6 PM, with limited Friday morning availability. I do my best to accommodate different schedules and may have occasional evening spots available. Contact me to discuss scheduling options.
Fees & Insurance
I am an out-of-network provider for most insurance plans. This means I don’t bill insurance directly, but I can provide you with a superbill (detailed receipt) that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Many PPO plans offer out-of-network benefits that cover a portion of therapy costs.

Yes, I believe that quality mental health care should be accessible. I reserve a limited number of sliding scale spots for clients who demonstrate financial need. Please inquire during your consultation if you’re interested in this option.
Therapy Approach
I integrate several evidence-based approaches tailored to each client’s needs, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), mindfulness-based techniques, psychodynamic therapy, and attachment-focused approaches. My style is warm, collaborative, and focused on building practical skills while exploring deeper patterns.
I have extensive experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, relationship issues, life transitions, and grief. I also work with clients on personal growth, self-esteem, and stress management. If you’re unsure whether your concerns fit my expertise, please reach out—I’m happy to discuss.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy particularly effective for processing traumatic memories and reducing their emotional impact. During EMDR, we use bilateral stimulation (like eye movements) while you recall distressing experiences. This helps your brain reprocess the memories in a way that reduces their power. It can be beneficial for trauma, anxiety, phobias, and more.
